The underdogs advance again! Furdaddy knocks off Sons of Pitches while the league’s top squad, Killer Bees, were able to hold off the 2017 champs to punch their ticket to the finals!
BEES ELIMINATE DEFENDING CHAMPS
The Killer Bees continued their run of dominance during the semifinals by knocking off the 2017 DLB Champions, The Hit Parade, by a 10-6 final. Didi Gregorius returned with a vengeance to dominate with 10 RBIs and six extra base hits. Luis Castillo, Jose Quintana, and the closers conquered on the mound, as the Bees advance to their first championship game in team history. They will have the advantage going in to the finals, but their opponent, Furdaddy, has been defying the odds for weeks.
LATE CHARGE NOT ENOUGH FOR SONS, AS FURDADDY HEADS TO FINALS
Furdaddy is going to the championship game! They had a huge lead by mid-week, and Sons of Pitches made a run over the weekend, but in the end, the father of fur advances with a 9-8 victory for their first championship game berth. The speed of Whit Merrifield along with the collaborative efforts by the pitching staff (Brad Keller and the bullpen in particular) led Furdaddy to the biggest win in the team’s history. With two upsets in a row to get to the finals, does this team have one more trick up their sleeves to get by the league’s number one team, Killer Bees?
