QUARTERFINAL RESULTS
Bees, Balls, and Sons Jump Into a Parade!

KILLER ROUND AS BEES DROP MANHUNT
The league’s number one team rolled through the first round of the playoffs, as Killer Bees decimated Manhunt 16-1 to advance to the semi-finals for the second year in a row. Last year’s runners-up, the Bees were led by Christian Yelich and Gary Sanchez at the plate but received otherworldly outputs from Jack Flaherty on the mound. With only one loss to their record all season, the Bees are the heavy favorites to go all the way this season but must first get through Balls to the Wall to get to the finals.

BALLBUSTING BTTW DOWNS THE CHAMPS
The defending DLB champions will not have a chance to repeat, as Balls to the Wall downed Furdaddy 12-5 in the quarterfinals of the playoffs. Nick Castellanos and Jose Abreu were among the hitting stars for the week, while strength in numbers helped the pitching staff put up strong totals on the mound. With this victory, BTTW makes it to their second semi-final over the past three years but will be in for battle as they get the league’s top team Killer Bees next.

SONS STOP RICHMOND IN SUNSHINE BATTLE
The competitive Sunshine Division pitted two playoff teams against each other in the first round, with league champion Sons of Pitches outlasting Richmond Braves 10-7 to advance to the semi-finals. Francisco Lindor and Trea Turner were strong at the plate, which was needed to make up for the suspect pitching staff that was less than mediocre overall. SOP will charge into this week’s battle against The Hit Parade in the hopes that the starters get back on track.

PARADE CONTINUES TRIP THROUGH POSTSEASON
The Hit Parade, the league’s second best team, went back and forth with Deraj before finally pulling away on Sunday with an 8-7 victory, bumping them into a semi-final battle with the Sons of Pitches. Mookie Betts and Marcus Semien carried the offense, with Justin Verlander and Merrill Kelly adding enough punch on the mound to pull out the victory. With a 2018 Bronze Medal rematch on tap, THP will look to avenge that loss and move on to the championship.
